1. Manufacturing recycled paper
This is a broad way of using waste paper. It can be used not only to make recycled wrapping paper, but also to make recycled newsprint. A French paper company has successfully developed a new process for newsprint regeneration. This new process, which includes deinking, purification of paper fibers, and absorption of ink and impurities, is followed by four steps in papermaking. The specific process is as follows: according to the ink type, the deinking technology is selected; the paper fiber and soap deinking agent are fed into the deinking chamber consisting of two chambers, so that the ink and impurities float on the surface with the foam and are sucked away by the suction device. The purified fiber slurry is concentrated to 15%, the paper fibers are expanded by heating, and bleached to make the recycled paper shiny; the high-concentration pulp is sent to the papermaking equipment to be prepared and new paper with the same whiteness as the recycled paper.
2. Making household appliances
In Singapore and elsewhere, people use old paper and other waste paper materials, rolled into round, thin sticks wrapped in plastic paper, hand-woven rugs, cushions, handbags, cat litter, curtains, and even household appliances such as coffee tables and beds. During production, different patterns can be woven and decorated according to the different shapes of various household appliances, making the produced household appliances both practical and beautiful.
3. Pressed cardboard
The former Czechoslovak technicians co-pressed five layers of waste paper and synthetic resin at a temperature of 80°C to form glued cardboard, which has twice the compressive strength of ordinary cardboard. Boxes made of such plywood can use nails and screws and can be mounted with bearing rollers, which are almost as strong as boxes made of plywood.
4. Molded asphalt corrugated cardboard
Scientific and technical personnel from the Central Institute of Architecture of India used waste paper, cotton yarn, coconut fiber and asphalt as raw materials to mold the new building material asphalt concrete corrugated cardboard. The use of asphalt corrugated cardboard to cover houses has good thermal insulation properties, is impermeable to water, is lightweight, has low cost, and is also non-flammable and corrosion-resistant.
